Xiaoyu's paper "CaMKIIα mediates the effect of IL-17 to promote ongoing spontaneous and evoked pain in multiple sclerosis" has been accepted by  the Journal of Neuroscience

Xiaoyu received the Van Doren Scholar award at the College Research Day.

Ying's paper "PKCdelta-targeted intervention relieves chronic pain in a murine sickle cell disease model" was published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation, 2016 Vol 126

Paper "CaMKIIα underlies spontaneous and evoked pain behaviors in Berkeley sickle cell transgenic mice" is accepted by Pain. A number of current and former members contributed to this publication. 

Nilanjana joined the lab as a graduate student (7/15/2016).

Xiaoyu and Ellie's paper "IL1A rs1800587 associates with chronic non-crisis pain in sickle cell disease" is accepted by Pharmacogenomics (7/7/2016)

New R01 "Cortical Opioid Dysfunction in Chronic Pain” is funded by NIDA, NIH for 5 years.

Ellie passed the defense of her dissertation titled "Pain Pharmacogenetics of Sickle Cell Disease." Congratulations Dr. Jhun!!! (5/2/2016)

R01 HL098141 (Protein Kinase Mechanisms for Chronic Pain in Sickle Cell Disease) is renewed by NIH for 4 years.

Xiaoyu's paper "PLGA-curcumin attenuates opioid-induced hyperalgesia and inhibits spinal CaMKIIα" has been accepted by PLOS ONE (12/28/2015)

The Journal of Neuroscience published a Journal Club article on our paper "Nociceptor βII, δ & ε isoforms of PKC differentially mediate paclitaxel-induced spontaneous and evoked pain," 2015 Vol35(28).
